Yes indeedy, it's Oh-Fic-Al; the Good Doctor is preparing his latest studio album, The Detox, for release this year.
Hands down THE most anticipated album of the year (sorry Curtis and Kanye), Dre rang into Power 106 today for a quick lowdown on what we can expect. A number of usual suspects will be on the record as well as newbies like Bishop Lamont. No confirmation on whether Jayceon Taylor will make the cut but I say he should. C'mon Dre, you can't ignore the hottest kid on the West right now!
While he wouldn't commit to a date, he let it be known he's done 18 tracks but that he wants a 12-tracker and that either way it will be out this year. Sometime. (My money's on that big-budget, get-them-numbers-up fourth quarter).
I love a lot of producers out there, but there's no one like Dre. Three decades in the game and he's still making the most relevant record in hip hop AND pop. 'Still D.R.E' for real.
