Apocalyptic at The Apollo

Snoop Dizzle proved he is still the shizzle with a supremo show at The Apollo last Friday. Warmed to perfection by Compton's The Game, hip hop's new blood took time out to tell Ja Rule, Ashanti, Memphis Bleek, Joe Budden and The Source just how hard they could suck his d.i.c.k. (And they blame journo's for stirring beef hype). Other highlights included a swop with legendary scientist of sonic stuff, DJ Quik, who bust a couple of bars while Game wheeled the tracks, before Higher, Westside Story and Dreams rocked the house hard. It was though of course all about The Bigg Boss Dawg. Snoop whipped through pretty much the whole of Doggystyle before dropping like it was H.O.T with some bloke called Pharrell. Myself and the Fiddy bounced harder than we had in a while, I can tell thee. In front of a celeb count including Mike Skinner and, um, Mike Skinner, Snoop made up for his 11 year absence on these shores by getting the entire crowd shook with his smoked-out sounds. He also shared with us a song that he had made up on the road. Some deep shit that must have taken, ohh, seconds to create, it went a little like 'Get high, get drunk and fuck,' accompanied by Uncle Junebug on 'wind and grind' duties. B.I.G. Proving himself to still be in touch with the people, mayn, Snoop and Pharrell wandered through the crowd after closer Who Am I to pound fists, slap hands and scout for groupies (probably). Semtex reported an incident from the Nottingham show the next evening, which featured a bottle and Snoop's head. As my mate Jacquie from Jamaica commented - 'UK is so grimy.' Ain't that the truth... Apologies to the Doggfather for the foolishness of the pricks that inhabit this Island...Please come back soon and spread more love, Snoop.

Your friend obviously hasn't been to too any dancehall nights then..... Artists get bottled off the stage on the regular if they displease the audience.

well dunno about that..seeing as she manages cham and does press for Vybz Cartel and co i should imagine she's been to one or 400 shows..the point is while that happens in dancehall, how stupid that someone should do that - it happens at rock concerts too , but it's dumb, no? also why show your displeasure at the last song - slightly too late by then I would have thought...
