Newness

It's been a music love-in of a weekend and it's nigh on impossible to get Roll Deep's album off the stezza. When I do wrestle 'When I'm 'Ere' and 'Remember The Days' from the clamps of CD heaven, then Mariah's 'Stay The Night' is quickly snapped up. Produced by Kanyeezy, it's a right wee gem. Talking of which, West's heating up anticipation for 'Late Registration' due to drop in July. Apparently produced by West's cousin, Devo, 'Diamond's Are Forever' is a Shirley Bassey sampling beauty with wordplay that is tight and flow that is fabulous. "Close your eyes and imagine/ Vegas on acid seen through Yves St Laurent glasses..." The Roc's still in the building! Oh, and is there a new Saigon mixtape due to drop soon? 'Abandoned Nation' is nearing the realms of over-overplayed but I need my daily dose of the kid. Luckily hiphopgame.com keeps my addiction at bay with the likes of The Raw (remix). Also incredible is Immortal Technique's long awaited remix of 'Bin Laden' featuring Kris 'n' Chuck. Taking Jada's question to heart, the three state: 'Bush knocked down the towers,' before dropping more conspiracy theories seen since David Ike took to the tele. Tech is set to go as political as it gets. Finally, Titch and Goodz may not be involved, but the US version of Boyz In Da Hood are building the buzz with tracks like 'Dem Boyz', a broody, dark number that also features a tasty remix with West and South coast king contenders Game and T.I respectively. Oh, and talking of Titch watch out for the J2K featured 'Stop' a monster of a tune featuring Tizzle's utterly unique bark and off the wall metaphors. When is somebody gonna sign this boy?
