Swopping Pies for Burgers

Put my indie head on yesterday after blagging a free ticket and headed for the V fest down in not-so-sunny Essex. There I was, minding my own business watching some boys play guitar (bunch of Chiefs called Kaiser) when who should walk by but Wiley and the Strider known as Tinchy. Result. An hour set in the Cider tent with Mr Cameo on the 1's and 2's and Chelmsford hardly knew what hit it. A virtual grime wave, I tell thee. Also caught The Streets who was really good and can't front on the Gallagher two - you gots to love that Wonderwall/ Layla/ Champagne Supernoooooovaaaaaa bizznizz. The Manchester two rocked the crowd, no lie. Particularly liked Liam wondering where the Essex girls had gone before surmissing they were probably backstage 'dancing to Craig David.' Ouch! Oh, and not sure what Wiley's lost down there, but hope he found whatever he was looking for. If you're down there today, expect to see Roll Deep and Dizzee doing their thing. Rock on an' all that.

The Kaiser Chiefs were playing at the V festival in weston when Roll Deep were playing at the V in Essex...how does that figure?

cos wiley didn't do the show in weston, he did a set with cameo...besides wiley rarely does 'official' roll deep sets at the mo...
