Another big ish - the ultra-hench 50 tells us about his new game, movie, beef with Em and hints at unhappiness with the good Dr. Also inside we have the biggest man in UK hip hop Klashnekoff, newcomers Faction G and Skream, producers Mizz Beats and Mentat, more established acts like The Streets, Alicia Keys, MIA and Floetry and even the Mitchell Brothers show us there's no hard feelings after their album slewing by lending us some style tips (so, I'm not a massive fan but the guys do at least rock clothes on a different tip). All in all a great issue but a special metion has to be given to Danny Walker and his Boo Krooo. Ouch! ASvailable in all good record shops, student unions and clothes stores near you now.

Nah, no way did they get more love. Are you crazy? Respect that you like the album tho - even tho I can't agree with you. I have had a couple of letters (well one) to RWD from someone saying they also like it, so I know they have their fans out there - all good. Nice guys too, I have to say, just not into their rhymes
Again, I'm not saying you're right and I'm wrong, but personally I didn't really see anyone going that crazy for them - apart from Routine Check, and Kano has the best verse on that anyway, you gotta admit? I will say though that RD can be hit and miss live - and while that night the show was hardly a lesson in technical finesse, I thought it was a good mix of album and rave-based lyrics - esp Manga who i have to admit sleeping on before now. For once they didn't get too random and try and grab the mike off each other - I thought is was a good, energetic performance.
Oh and while they have had some good reviews I'm not sure that the majority of their reviews have been positive - I've certainly seen some bad ones. Again, I could be totally wrong and in five years time have to turn round and say 'shit, i just didn't get it.' I hold my hands up to that with The Streets - i thought Original Pirate Material was shit (hangs head in shame!)
yeah Skinner did a good job on that, no doubt (lol!), 100% agree on the TOTP-ness - possibly one of the most horrible things I've ever seen on screen in all my daze. Tho, in a strange way, the sight of Riko, Trim and Scratchy busting moves was strangely intriguing too!
was harsh, but I only joke. As for bringing race into it, getting stopped and searched isn't restricted to black men these days either - just as my mate Imran to count up his pink slips!

All I'm going to say is that Mitchell Brothers have been upstaged twice on their OWN songs. ‘Routine Check’ where K.A. stole the show and ‘Harvey Nicks’ where Mr Dasafo blew them out of the oh so cloudy water, that can’t be good for any act. Listening to their album makes me want to chew my own face off then curl up in a spike filled corner and die! The only track I’m feeling apart from the aforementioned, is ‘Alone with the TV’ which is really really good. And by far the best track on the album. I too went to the Cargo gig with Roll Deep and I thought the Brothers did themselves a good little show but Roll Deep simply outshone them. Whether it was cos they played tracks that I actually like or had a cool/raw vibe about their persons and the whole experience I don’t know. Manga did more than well and truly killed it with his brutal bars over a soon to be diminished silence and it’s true Roll Deep are hit and miss when playing live. I just lucky I’ve been at a few hits. Both of you raise good points and these are my views.
