New Ish

Thanks to Ms Juceum for sending me some new tunes out of the MadHouse stable. Produced of course by Mr Dave Kelly, the two stand outs are Cham’s Ghetto Story and Spice’s Fight Over Man . Hopefully, now ‘Ghetto Story’ is getting a lot of heat in JA, we might yet see Cham’s album get released?
Did I blog about ‘120 Bars’ yet? Prob not. Game is a great lyricist and I don’t care what anyone says! Trash-talking the usual suspects plus Lil Eazy, Mobb Deep and Mase, Iyeah, the beef is tired, but he does it so well lyrically. Far more potentially controversial though has to be Snoop’s Get Rich And Die Tryin’. What’s he saying there then? Or is that cooking beef when nothing’s on the Barby? Nice track though.
Busta is killing right now with Move It, but I’m way more feeling the Mike Jones (who? Mike..oh forget it!) joint called I Know Y’all Mad. Jones’ quick-time rhymes steals the spotlight spit-wise, but it’s the Dirty South beat that’s the ultimate winner. Dunno who produced (anyone know?), but it’s sick.
Lil Wayne’s My Receipt is on some serious soul throwback steez – and it’s big. 2006 is going to be Wheezy’s year, I tell you Farnsworth’s Laid Back is a big tune even though I wasn’t sure how serious the guy was. Turns out he’s not just Diddy’s umbrella holder. Just hear the Pap and Paul Wall joint on Semtex’s show – in the words of Earz - oh my daze! Huge. Talking of Earz – well, watch for the full review from Danny Walker in the next issue of RWD, but gottdamn his new mixtape is sickilicious. There’s a tune with Trim that is amazing. Favourite Rappers Favourite Rapper? Fo sho! Also got my sweaty mitts on a couple of tracks from Rahsaan Patterson’s new group SugaRush and so far so soulacious. Watch out for them in the 2006 too.
