Moves like this give the scene hope, I reckon. Truly. It's not about major label deals and making videos for Channel U. It's about creating a scene for yourself and building it from the bottom up. Why sign to a label that is essentially a bank with huge interest rates when you can sell a few thousand mixtapes of your own and make more cash for yourself anyway. Small steps make giant leaps on day. Or something.
It may not be Rush Management/ early days of Def Jam, but BBK is headed up the right direction.

well i hear now that the queen vic are stocking cheese & onion crisps!
