One is Jay's Allure verses over Kanwizzy's Flashing Lights.
The other is brand newness from his recently announced, forthcoming album 'inspired by the movie of the same name', American Gangster. J'yeah! Played on Funk Flex literally three hours ago and uploaded already!!
Minimal Neptune's beat but not in the typical tongue-clicking sense. Pharrell sings a bit of En Vogue Hold On for the hook, which is kinda weird cos I was at a bar in Brooklyn last night (Moe's) and they played The Vogue and and me and my buddies were like 'ahhhhh.' Anyway, lyrically, Jay literally takes it to the '80s "Blame Reagan for making me into a monster..."
I've really hated Pharrell's stuff over the last two years, but I think this is a pretty terrific track. So there... Seeing as how he's famed for literally rapping right off the top, this throwback track really makes you feel like you're hearing Jay rhyme right into the mike. Ohh-weeeeee, we likey!
