New Streets

Mr Michael Skinner, of Birmingham town, is about to be back with a new album, Deep and he's uploaded clips of four on his myspace.

Interesting sounds including guitars, strings and synth, although no sign of any garage, but with Skinner's usual observational storytelling told in his trademark flat Brummie tones. Track titles are The Escapist, The Way Of The Dodo, The Sherry End and On The Flip Of The Coin. There's also no guests on the tracks previewed, so perhaps this will be a strictly Skinner record.
