There are lots of reasons to both love and hate Twitter. But despite the 140character unsociable stream-of-consciousness chaos, we’ve also been able to access loads of new music, hot remixes and Youtube clips actually worth watching. So when followee DJ B linked to a young lady he is managing, we decided to check it out. One play of Consciousness, and we were pretty flipping excited. And we weren’t the only ones. Mistajam promptly made the track his Jam of the Week, and now the major labels are getting all sweaty trying to sign the Fiona Apple/ Erykah Badu and Tanya Stephens fan. “It harks back to the ‘80s power ballads we all secretly love, but it still manages to sound fresh,” decides Willoe of the Fraser T Smith (Tinchy/ N-Dubz) produced tune that she wrote in her dressing gown, in the middle of the night following a family-sized bucket of KFC....
