Keeping The Faith
Just back from interviewing the former First Lady of Bad Boy, Faith Evans. Having endured numerous driza bone interviews with 2 too many R&B singers to name, have to say what a refreshing change the ex-Mrs Wallace made. She broke down her whole story, well, as much as anyone can in the space of 32 minutes and 48 seconds - giving open and honest answers to more than a couple of tricky questions. Probably shouldn't say just yet for which publication this is for, but soon as it's about to drop I'll let you know. Having been quiet for a few , it's great to see one of R&B's best singers AND songwriters back with a brilliant new album and the balls to tell it how it is. Don't sleep on the First Lady and go get the album cos it's HOT. HOT I tell ya. Off to the showcase later and, minus the irritating industry schmoozers, can't wait to see Faith sing live again. She may have been a little late last time when she played Ocean, but (bad) boy was it worth the wait. Oh and for those going, don't forget she'll be at the UMF on Saturday. LIke Mary before her, she's one of this generations greatest on the mic.
