UMF Sunday Cancellation

(In case you didn’t already know). Disappointing thing is, we moan when corporations and companies don’t rep for the UK, but do we ever support without a phat US line-up in place? So what, Kano, Sovereign, Estelle, Craig David, Floetry, Blak Twang (should be an interesting one) aren’t enough?
I suppose Charlie and co were never gonna top last years line-up, nor the show-stopper that was Sean Carter, but it’s a shame that people aren’t representing and putting money into music rather than using a score to score (thanks for that one Par). Rather than being all cynical and delighted to see ourselves flop (people still take great pleasure in predicting the imminent demise of the MOBO’s year in, year out), we should instead be disappointed that the more things go wrong, the less faith people holding the purse-strings have in the scene. So really, it ain’t a good look when people fail to drum up interest in a show that not only includes some of the finest UK talent but also has Busta, Common, Faith Evans, Lil Jon, Will Smith (don't laugh, back in the day, Big Willy was a fine storyteller) and Xzibit on the menu. Whoever they are and whatever you think of them, they’re loss is only ours – where’s the gain in that?
