MOBO thoughts

Thanks to 'Rita' I missed this years MOBO's and have to say it looked pretty good. Well, I heard it was ok, didn't see for myself as taped ITV programme on the paparazzi by mistake, but then jetlag will do that to ya! Anyway, a bone of contention if I may. While it looks like MOBO have finally realised they need to support UK (even if because they can't get any US love, but whatever), and I'm so happy that Sway, Lethal B and Kano won - what about Roll Deep? Without those guys, it's possible the other nominees wouldn't have existed. Again not to take away from the winners, who all truly deserved to win, but surely PAUG/ Roll Deep as we now know them helped put 'UKG/ Grime/ Whatever' on the map. So how can that go unrewarded? Of all the artists up, they've sold the most of their current album- and yes, I know this isn't about sales, but still. It's wrong. And I believe the only reason they didn't win it cos they're not 'TV friendly' enough and therefore they're not deemed newsworthy/ marketing-man friendly. That's bulls***t. Even regardless of their past work, which has helped mould the UK scene, 'In At The Deep End' is one of this years finest UK albums. End of.
Deep breath. Rant over, and once again congrats to Sway, Lethal and Mr Kano who I reiterate once more are truly deserving of their win. Oh and one more thing - Lemar's album better than John Legend? Whatever....
