Now I am slightly ashamed to admit that I've been watching X Factor..but....those sunday morning repeats just kinda suck me in, ya know? The remote has fallen down the back of the sofa, the hangover is hard and the TV is too far too reach...
Ah shit, I've been watching it and what?
I know it's been all over the Sun etc but I had to express my outrage at Maria not getting through over the wastiest wastegirls of all time, the Conyawn Sisters. Talk about a poor man's Corrs. In fact, there's worse than that - they're a poor man's Nolans. Louis Walsh is a fool, a fool to have put through those girls just cos Wastelife are friends with them and he manages them. And don't even get me going on Wastelife and their new single - has anyone seen the video? And I include them, their management and their label in that? Jeez, come on, man. I know that you're all about the Asda audience, but fix up.
Anyway, I digress. All I'm saying is Maria had hands down the best vocal on the show, let alone against those girls. I'm not saying she should have won cos you know these things are always voted for by girls who rarely if ever vote for other girls, but blatently she was looking at Top 3. Louis and Simon have bigged her up every week and now, suddennly, politics creep in and they both do the wrong thing. On the plus side, people have seen first hand how this shady business of show really works. We wonder why there's so many untalented fools on out TV and radio all the time? Cos it's about politics, relationships, business and bullshit, old boys network, favour, favour, scratch my back etc, etc.
The other good news is that Maria now has a chance to go on and have a career much the same as Girl's Aloud and Lemar have done despite them not winning their contests. Good luck to Maria and f*** the X Factor. Iiiiidiots!
