First mentioned on these very pages last year, the Underground King aka Papoose continues to reassert his claim to crown of the New New York King. Linking with Busta and Violator management cements his future position of superstar (well, presuming he goes the way of 50 Cent rather than Spliff Star) as the young gun readies his forthcoming album. Still not officially signed to a label deal, maybe he should put that isht out himself and make way mo money. His mixtapes boasting classics like Sharades, Alphabetical Slaughter and Can’t Murder Me have sold like bricks, keys and grams put together, so his album sales should be pretty damn strong too. Just heard new track Faces Of Death, which has that real ‘gotta-listen’ storytelling technique working overdrive and also check the Swizzy produced, Bus featuring Get Right. This monster, touted as the first single begins with ‘(Lets go) What you mean lets go, this my city I ain’t going nowhere.' It’s on from there. I needs me to get that interview real darned soon - Violator, holla, please!
