Shouts to my new Facebook friend Alf for putting me onto a documentary on Funk Raves in Rio. It's called Favela On Blast and directed by a Brasilian called Leandro de Brohl and exec produced by Diplo. They're apparently waiting for a distributer, fingers crossed they get on because i'd love to see this. I think part of it is filmed in Cantagalo, the first favela I went to the very day I landed in Rio. Actually, about 4 hours after I'd landed at 6am, so my head was properly spun out. Flippin' amazing experience though.
